If you are dissatisfied with the size of your breasts, the Reshape and Restore cosmetic surgery clinic can help with breast augmentation near Birmingham.

This procedure is more commonly known as a ‘boob job’ or breast enlargement surgery, and it is designed to increase the size of the breasts by at least one cup size using breast implants.

Many women often have this breast augmentation surgery because their breasts have changed shape or lost volume after pregnancy, breast feeding, weight loss, or with age. It can also be used as part of breast reconstruction after a mastectomy or other trauma to the breast.

The founders of Reshape and Restore, Mr Khan and Mr Chapman are both plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons with considerable experience in breast enlargement surgery using breast implants.

Will I have a consultation before I decide about breast enlargement surgery?

Breast Augmentation

Patients at Reshape & Restore have two pre-surgical meetings with their consultant plastic surgeon.

At the initial consultation, you will discuss what you hope to achieve through surgery. Your expert breast surgeon will discuss the likely outcome, the procedure used, and what will happen during your recovery.

If you intend to become pregnant and breastfeed in the future, please tell your surgeon. Your surgeon can then use techniques that avoid damage to the milk ducts.

Your consultation will involve a pre-operative assessment, and a detailed medical history will also be taken.

Mr Khan and Mr Chapman will have a second consultation to answer any questions, and you will be asked to sign the consent forms before you commit to surgery.

What sort of implants are used at Reshape and Restore?

The clinic uses the highest quality silicone gel implants or saline implants. Your aesthetic surgeon will help you decide whether round implants or teardrop implants, also called anatomical implants, will suit your body shape.

What happens during enlargement surgery with breast implants?

During breast enlargement surgery, your surgeon will make an incision in the natural breast crease and insert the breast implant through the incision and behind your existing breast tissue.

The breast augmentation procedure lasts around an hour and a half and is performed under a general anaesthetic.

How will I feel after breast augmentation surgery with breast implants?

Your breasts will be tender and bruised after your surgery, but the nursing team will manage this discomfort with pain relief. It will be necessary for you to wear a firm support bra or sport bra for the first two months after your surgery.

Your aesthetic surgeon will advise you to avoid strenuous activities for up to eight weeks after your boob job. Depending on your work, your surgeon may advise you to take a few weeks off work after your surgical procedure.

It is essential to follow all the advice that you are given about the recovery period to ensure that your body heals quickly and that your breast surgery is a success.

You will return to the Reshape and Restore clinic for regular follow-up appointments until your breasts are fully healed.

When will I see the benefits of my breast augmentation?

It will take eight weeks for your breasts to heal completely. Once the swelling has subsided, your breasts will look natural but have a more aesthetically pleasing shape and size. The volume lost after breastfeeding, or weight loss will have been restored; if asymmetry was an issue, your breasts will now be the same size.

Most women find that their self-confidence improves significantly after a breast augmentation procedure.

You can find come before and after pictures and testimonials from delighted patients here.

Are there any risks associated with a boob job?

All surgery carries risks, and breast enlargement surgery carries the usual risks of bleeding, bruising and infection. In addition breast implants carry a risk of capsular contracture caused by excessive scar tissue. Your cosmetic surgeon will explain this to you in full at your pre-surgical consultations.

Can I have a breast enlargement without implants?

It is possible to increase the size of the breast without breast implant surgery using a technique called fat transfer.

Fat is removed from elsewhere on the body with liposuction and used to increase breast volume. This is suitable for women who want a modest increase in breast size of around one cup size.

Are any other cosmetic surgery procedures available at the Reshape & Restore clinic?

The clinic offers a comprehensive range of plastic surgery procedures for the face and body.

A full range of breast surgery is provided, including breast reduction and breast uplift.

How much does breast enlargement surgery cost?

The breast enlargement surgery begins at £5 600.
