Education and training
Mr Khan graduated from University College London in 1991 with BSc (Hons) Anatomy and MBBS, and has since acquired over a decade of training. During this time he worked within a variety of medical environments including specialist units and teaching hospitals, as well as in some of the most prestigious in Greater London.
One of which was St Thomas’ Hospital, whereby he was actively involved in an instructional course, which focused on lower limb trauma management, the outcome of which led to Mr Khan attending a trip to Slovenia where he was exposed to complex cases that required the reconstruction of lower limbs and breasts.
This unique experience served to further his passion for surgical excellence, combined with his clinical skill to truly make life changing differences. Together, these attributes drove him toward developing a special interest in these sub-surgeries and undergoing further advanced training in these fields both in the UK and abroad.
Mr Khan continued his commitment to education by spending an additional 6 months further training in a Level 1 Trauma Centre in Sydney, Australia, where he not only worked within lower limb trauma cases, but also trained in maxillofacial trauma.
Mr Khan’s expertise and esteemed education has seen him hold the position of Chair of Education of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) since 2012.

Outside of surgery
Beyond his love of surgery, Mr. Khan lives in a beautiful village in the Cotswolds, with his wife, Deborah, and their two adorable children Emily and Joseph.
A true family man, Mr Khan loves nothing more than enjoying their time together, and can often be found doing something adventurous! They particularly enjoy skiing and active holidays.
When he isn’t lighting up the slopes, you may just find him exploring one of his other passions, be that: cooking, appreciating fine arts, perusing the globe to add to his already impressive collection of antique clocks or tinkering with classic cars. Mr. Khan’s interest in antique clocks extends beyond an appreciation for their beauty. He is fascinated by their mechanics and loves to spend time restoring them to their original splendour. After ticking that box he accompanies his love of motorsports with his mechanical skills being applied to the four wheeled version, where in his garage he gets stuck in with car maintenance and restoration.
Wherever he is, you can be sure he will always make you feel at home.
